The Center for Exploratory & Perceptual Arts is proud to announce the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Arts & Culture Initiative administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo is supporting Capacity Building + General Operations in 2025! In addition to our proposed development plan, all Capacity Building grant recipients will be placed in a cohort to learn and grow together!

CEPA Gallery is thankful to receive 2025 funding from the New York State Council on the Arts. This support enables us to continue serving the arts community through exhibitions, education, and critical public access to image-making resources. We are also excited to share that Biff Henrich's book "Building Photographs" also received funding from NYSCA!

Buffalo on Film showcases the artistry and vision of Buffalo film photographers, members of CEPA, and the Buffalo Film Club. This group exhibition is made entirely of black-and-white silver gelatin prints, celebrating the vibrant photo community in Buffalo, while fostering a renewed appreciation for the enduring art of film and darkroom photography.

After an extensive national search, the board of trustees for The Center for Exploratory & Perceptual Arts (CEPA Gallery) announces the hiring of its next Executive Director, Ben Hickey. A skilled administrator with an excellent curatorial pedigree, Hickey brings 19 years of experience to CEPA. Most recently, he served as Interim Director at the Hilliard Art Museum in Lafayette, Louisiana. During his seven years as Curator at the Hilliard, he also served as a member of the leadership team responsible for the museum’s inaugural American Alliance of Museums accreditation.
