After the fun, success and beautiful images from our summer Double Exposure class, we decided to offer it again, but this time in black & white.
Our Double Exposures class explored techniques for creating in camera multiple exposures on film.
It wasn't our typical summer, but we were still able to offer some awesome photo instruction online for our young photographers.
In this unique workshop, participants will be introduced to the camera-based Xerox flat plate process, learn about its history, and gain hands-on experience crafting carbon based photographic images. Last chance to take this special workshop with electrophotography artist Tom Carpenter on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Seventh and eighth grade Buffalo Public Schools students from the My Brother’s Keeper program recently collaborated with teaching artists from the CEPA Gallery. The artists joined us at McKinley High School and provided twelve of our MBK scholars with a creative opportunity to engage in hands-on photography instruction and the use of digital cameras to document their fieldwork experiences. We began our project with a workshop led by teaching artist Christian Coronado.
Look closely. These amazing photos were taken by young students from Highgate Heights Elementary School. Students in 2nd through 4th grade Special Education. CEPA has been an arts education partner with Highgate for the past ten years. We are constantly amazed at the innate creativity and imagination of our students.
CEPA was so happy to be invited by Camp Centerland to do a specialty camp again this year. The weather was incredible, and the students were thrilled to wander the many acres of trails and creeks in Getzville. They got so many amazing photos! They also did cyanotypes and wrote about their photographs in journals.
