Each year, CEPA Gallery and Big Orbit invite our members to participate in the Annual Members’ Exhibits, featuring work of some of Western New York’s most talented artists.
All current, new, and renewing members of CEPA Gallery and Big Orbit are invited to participate in both exhibits each year.
Do you have a proposal for an exhibition? CEPA Gallery’s Artistic Advisory Committee meets quarterly in March, June, September, and December to review exhibition proposals.
Photography Works is a year-long program that will provides 10 students, ages 14-18, who have a serious interest in photography, with in depth instruction and mentoring in a variety of photo-related careers.
Hired through a generous sponsorship from FUJIFILM, these paid fellows will be working jointly as a task-force, and collaborate to contribute to the continued success, growing visibility, and propagation of CEPA’s education and exhibition programs.
This group is meant for artists with an on-going creative practice that think about their work conceptually and have confidence in responding to other artist’s work in a constructive and helpful manner.Â
Whether you’re already working on a project or looking to begin something new, this 8-week advanced critique will provide a safe space for you to develop a photo-based body of work within a supportive community. Each artist will present their work in print or by projection every other session—four times during the course—and will be expected to show new work in each of their critiques. Group discussions will be led by artist Andrea Wenglowskyj, in order to help each participant further their projects through experimentation, research, technical support and goal setting.
CEPA Gallery is proud to administer the Annual Oseroff Memorial Purchase Prize on behalf of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Roswell Park Alliance Art Committee.
Named in memory of Dr. Allan R. Oseroff, the Chief of Dermatology from 1989 until his death in 2008, the Oseroff Memorial Purchase Prize is awarded each year to one regional or national photographer who has a connection to Western New York and whose artwork is identified as being of exceptional quality.
