August 18, 2020 Photos from our Young Photographers
It wasn’t our typical summer, but we were still able to offer some incredible photo instruction online for our young photographers. Aitina Fareed-Cooke, Jeannine Swallow and Saffi Rigberg held classes online and created a unique experience for the students. Below you will see some of their creations. We are all looking forward to the next time we can be together and create side by side.
These photos are from Aitina’s class, Smartphone Photography for Young Creatives. It was for students looking to enhance their smartphone photography and video capturing skills. Students were challenged to take their creativity to the next level to support engagement on social media.
These photos are from Jeannine Swallow’s Cyanotypes, Anthotypes, Haikus and More. Students learned unique photographic processes. They created photos using the sun, coffee, tea, turmeric and other interesting ingredients. They also created their own light sensitive materials using flowers and plants.
Saffi Rigberg taught a digital photography class where students were able to use whatever digital camera they had including a phone. The class consisted of looking and talking about images and learning how to take strong, meaningful photographs.
