A Week-long Summer Class

Ages 13 to 17
Using effective lighting, both ambient and professional studio lighting, backdrops, and poses, students will learn how to create an engaging portrait that says something about the person they are photographing. Students will be using professional cameras and photo studio as well as going on location using the cityscape as a backdrop. (Photo by Bradley Zubek) For ages 13-17

Abby Schroeder is a freelance photographer specializing in portraiture and event photography. Her love of photography was sparked by the CEPA Summer Programs, and it fueled her interest in old buildings and historical sites. She is an active Bowmansville firefighter and EMT, and her caring spirit makes her a sought after childcare specialist.
She possesses an avid love of cooking, and continues to practice her skills in the fine arts. She is an active volunteer with the NYS Art Teachers Association.
