Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, or mixed media artist, documenting your artwork is essential for promoting your work and creating a professional portfolio. In this studio class, you will learn:

Camera Basics: How to make high-quality images of your artwork.

Lighting Techniques: How to use natural, artificial, and other lighting techniques.

Framing and Composition: How to ensure your work is centered, straight, and level.

By the end of this class, you will have a basic understanding of how to document your artwork, and you will be able to produce quality images for your portfolio, website, and social media channels.

David is an architect-turned-photographer. With over three decades of experience, he’s worked globally as an Assistant, Associate and Staff Photographer. In 2000, he founded Defined Space, his own architectural photography studio in Chicago. His clients include architects, designers, manufacturers, contractors, P.R. and marketing firms, realtors, artists, and publications. David’s work has been featured in various publications and design competitions worldwide.
