Bradley Zubek - Photography Works 2020 - CEPA Gallery - Buffalo NY

Ever since Bradley was young, he felt the need to create. His favorite subject in school was art because it never felt like “real” schoolwork; it was a challenge to create something beautiful. He struggled to find the medium that would be best for him. When Bradley was 14, he came to a CEPA summer class taught by Sabrina Marazzo, a former CEPA student. Marazzo was a highschool senior at the time and applied to the Fashion Institute for Technology in NY. The following year, they co-taught a CEPA summer class and reconnected, talking a lot about Sabrina’s FIT experience. This networking experience influenced Bradley’s artistic experimentation with embroidery, embellishing clothing, making jackets for friends, and learning to sew. The feeling he got from using clothes as a canvas was so fulfilling that he realized he found his medium. In 2021, Bradley was accepted at FIT starting in the Fall. He couldn’t be more excited. The photography skills he learned at CEPA have already been beneficial as he used them to create his portfolio. More importantly, CEPA is where Bradley got the connections and mentorship he needed to find his voice. Bradley has designed this class, hoping to help other young artists find their medium!
