CEPA Project Space

CEPA’s Project Space, formerly the Underground Gallery, is designated for new or experimental bodies of work and installations. The Project Space is open to artists of all levels, including students and emerging artists.

Founded by artists in 1974, CEPA has strived to be an arts center that reflects the creative priorities of the working artists of Western New York. While the gallery is dedicated to the photographic arts, we maintain the spirit of Big Orbit, a gallery for multidisciplinary, experimental, and contemporary work that was merged with CEPA in 2013. In the new year, we are embracing the past 50 years of CEPA’s history by rebranding our Underground Gallery as CEPA’s Project Space, a gallery space for contemporary photography, photo-based, video, or installation work.

If you are interested in showing in CEPA’s Project Space, please send your proposals to submissions@cepagallery.org. This program is meant to support the presentation of completed or underway work in need of an audience. CEPA will not cover any production or transportation costs. Email info@cepagallery.org if you have any questions.

Proposals must include:

-A project statement (no more than 500 words)
-Five or more images of your work
-A CV (preferred) or a Resume
