In this unique workshop, participants will be introduced to the camera-based Xerox flat plate process, learn about its history, and gain hands-on experience crafting carbon based photographic images. Last chance to take this special workshop with electrophotography artist Tom Carpenter on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Seventh and eighth grade Buffalo Public Schools students from the My Brother’s Keeper program recently collaborated with teaching artists from the CEPA Gallery. The artists joined us at McKinley High School and provided twelve of our MBK scholars with a creative opportunity to engage in hands-on photography instruction and the use of digital cameras to document their fieldwork experiences. We began our project with a workshop led by teaching artist Christian Coronado.

CEPA Gallery is excited to announce a new initiative giving a Western New York artist the freedom to engage the community with a two year curatorial fellowship at CEPA’s Big Orbit Project Space. The inaugural curatorial fellow, Buffalo-based artist Megan Metté, will use her first year to mount two exhibitions that foreground and question our perception of the world around us.

You are invited to enter the 4th Annual Richardson Olmsted Campus Photography Contest! Presented by CEPA Gallery and the Richardson Olmsted Campus, this year's title is Extraordinary Views: 365 x 24, Inside and Out. Unique images of the Richardson are sought capturing original spaces, new features, exteriors and gardens.

CEPA Gallery and The Richardson Olmsted Campus are delighted to announce the winners of the 2017 Richardson Olmsted Campus Photography Contest. Enduring Views: The Richardson Olmsted Campus will be exhibited at CEPA Gallery on March 28th through April 11th, 2018, with an opening reception on March 28th from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. Both the exhibition and the opening reception are free and open to the public.

CEPA Gallery, in partnership with Dean Brownrout Modern/Contemporary, is pleased to announce The Unseen Marion Faller, an exhibition and sale of photographic artwork by artist Marion Faller. The exhibition and sale is the most comprehensive survey of the late artist’s work. Many pieces in the exhibit have never been presented in a gallery setting.

CEPA Gallery is hosting a unique competition, seeking photographers to artistically capture images of Buffalo’s Skyway. The Skyway opened in 1955 as a major transportation artery into and around the city. No matter your view, we want YOUR VIEW! Just as the Buffalo Grain Elevators have been artistically documented, we think now is the time to document this iconic structure. An anonymous donor has generously offered to fund this project, underwriting the exhibition and offering prize money.

Alexis Oltmer is the winner of the 5th annual Oseroff Memorial Purchase Prize. The Oseroff Memorial Purchase Prize is named in memory of Dr. Allan R. Oseroff, Chief of Dermatology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute from 1989 until his death in 2008.
