Our latest exhibit, ODYSSEY | Warriors Come Home, is now on view! The magnitude of images are obvious—and to really experience their power, an in-person visit is necessary.
This interactive artwork takes an element commonly found in parks and playgrounds—the swing-set—and by questioning its conventional linear arrangement achieves a transformation that is abstract, spatial and political.
In May, 2019, we held two pilot sessions of “Capturing Buffalo,” opportunities designed by photographers for photographers. In addition to seeing and taking photographs of fascinating architecture, the 20 participants learned stories of the neighborhood’s history.
TEEN PHOTO, a series of free classes for teenagers from 13–18 years old, is a unique opportunity for young photographers come together to share their passion for photography. They’ll receive technical advice, constructive feedback on their photos, and get an opportunity to spend some time with other teens that share the same interest.
CAPTURING BUFFALO is an opportunity for photographers by photographers—enabling participants to learn, enjoy, and receive friendly feedback on images. This opportunity involves learning about one of Buffalo’s iconic neighborhoods, and spending time capturing its details and character.
CEPA Gallery is collaborating with Albright-Knox Art Gallery to present Gerard Malanga in Buffalo, NY on April 3–4, 2019 for two evenings of free public events focusing on his prolific artistic career.
CEPA Gallery and the Veterans One-Stop Center of WNY are proud to co-present the Odyssey Workshops, a free 12-week intensive photography course for post 9/11 combat veterans beginning in January 2019. Through photography and writing, veterans will explore the return home in the workshop from their perspective.
