Theia | Sara Kow-Falcone
Opening Reception: August 14th, 5:00-8:00 PM
Theia | Sara Kow-Falcone is an exhibition of alternative process photographs reflecting a variety of cultural traditions.
Theia is the mother of the sun in the Greek mythological tradition, and given the centrality of light to photography, she is a worthy muse for Kow-Falcone’s exploration of the many influences informing her perspective as a photographic artist, as well as her notion of self. Positing the artist as a creator like Theia, this eclectic exhibition illustrates how the interplay between the notion of influence and an artist’s unique vision combines to create a cumulative portrait of the artist.
Theia | Sara Kow-Falcone is on view in CEPA’s Flux Gallery from August 14 – September 28, 2026.
