Moments Passing by Hope Grunert (2022)

Hope Grunert

We are surrounded every day by people living their lives, sometimes quietly, sometimes out loud. They may be experiencing pain or sadness, loneliness or doubt. These may be moments filled with peace and love, joy and comfort. Or perhaps time is simply drifting past, without significance. We are surrounded every day. Capture these scenes, climb into them, carry them with you—embrace these moments that reveal our common humanity.

Born and raised in Buffalo, Hope Grunert has been drawn to photography—capturing the expression in moments and seeing images emerge—for as long as she can remember. Primarily self taught, Grunert received invaluable experience through powerful CEPA Gallery programs. In addition to work as a freelance portrait photographer, Hope is currently working to earn a degree in photography at SUNY New Paltz, missing her family (and three dogs, in particular) while she’s away. Grunert’s photographs have been featured in various publications and are included in several private collections.
