Emergent: Fellows and Photography Works Showcase.

Emergent showcases the work of CEPA’s Photography Works students and Fujifilm Foundation of Creation Fellows. Emergent is the culmination of nine months of fellowship and mentorship – participants from both programs having developed their own self-directed projects over the course of their time at CEPA. We are proud to support and exhibit the work of these dedicated, emerging young artists!

Photography Works is a free year-long mentorship program designed to serve youth with a serious interest in photography. Students were given Fujifilm cameras, access to CEPA’s classes and facilities, as well as paid professional development opportunities that support other local non-profits. Any student aged 15-20 who is interested in being a part of the 2024-2025 Photography Works class can submit their interest here to receive an application. 

The Fujifilm Foundation of Creation Fellowship, sponsored by Fujifilm North America and launched in 2021, has since provided twelve individuals with significant opportunities to learn directly from Fujifilm professionals, while developing their own professional, creative, and artistic skills at CEPA. 

The impact of these programs on the culture at CEPA cannot be overstated. Both programs invite a younger generation to our doors, bringing in new energy and new ideas, while helping to support the ongoing work and ever-growing photography community at CEPA.
