CEPA Gallery’s Big Orbit Project Space is pleased to announce BLACK and WHITE curated by Todd Lesmeister. On display will be a variety of paintings, drawings, sculpture and mixed-media work by ASI artists. The exhibition will open on Friday, August 5th and run through Sunday, September 11th.
BLACK and WHITE is an attempt to peel off the garments of color in order to expose the bare bones of creative process and ideas. This exhibit explores the fundamental choices made by each artist and invites the viewer to focus on the essential gesture, handwriting, brushstrokes, and intersection of form and subject employed by the artists, without any chromatic distractions.
