2016 CEPA Members Exhibition

CEPA Gallery is pleased to announce Rachel Adams—associate curator at UB Art Gallery—as the 2016 Members’ Exhibition guest juror. This year’s exhibition will open on Friday, January 29, 2016. Submissions will be accepted from Monday, January 11 – Saturday January 16, 2016.

CEPA Gallery’s 2016 Members’ Exhibit features the photography and photo-related work of some of Western New York’s most talented artists.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTO-RELATED WORK

JANUARY 29–MARCH 5, 2016

All current, new, and renewing CEPA and Big Orbit Members are invited to participate in the upcoming 2016 CEPA Gallery Members’ Exhibit.

• Each member may submit one (1) piece of photography or photo-related art for inclusion in the exhibit (max dim. 30″ x 40″).
• All work should be matted and/or framed and ready to hang
• All work should be labeled with the artist’s name, title, process, date, and sales price

WORK MAY BE DROPPED OFF STARTING MONDAY, JANUARY 11 AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH JANUARY 16TH DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY 9-5, SATURDAY 12-4. ADDITIONAL EVENING DROP-OFF HOURS HAVE BEEN ADDED ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13 FROM 5P-8P. ALL SUBMITTED WORK IS DUE AT CEPA BY SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2016 AT 4PM.

Select work will be exhibited on CEPA’s website. For artists who wish to have their work sent back to them, returns will only be made via US Postal Service or FedEx. Please provide postage, FedEx account number or a check to cover the amount for the return.

CEPA Gallery’s 2016 Members’ Exhibit will open Friday, January 29, 2016 with a reception from 7pm to 10pm.

THE 2016 CEPA & BIG ORBIT MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION AWARDS

CEPA will be giving out three awards—two from the CEPA Gallery exhibit and one from the Big Orbit exhibit—recognizing those artists who demonstrate an elevated level of artistic maturity and skill in their work.

THE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE A SOLO EXHIBIT OF THEIR WORK IN 2017–2018.

To be considered for an award, artists must submit the following materials along with their Members Exhibit submission:

• 10 images formatted as JPEG’s and sized to 1500px in the largest dimension labeled Last Name, First, & Image # (ex. Smith_John_01.jpg)
• An image script that includes Titles, Year, and Physical Dimensions
• An artist statement
• An artist resumé

This facet of the Members’ Exhibit is open to all artists as an option, and does not affect regular submissions to the exhibit.
