CEPA summer art programs are a blast! Students learn the art and science behind photography, experimenting in both the darkroom and computer lab. There are classes for 8-12 year olds as well as teenagers and they run for a full week, half day. There is something for everyone, beginners as well as advanced.

For information about scholarships for our youth summer art programs, please contact Nate Ely, our Education Director:

Classes are kept small at only 8 students, so book now! Once registered you will receive a follow up email requesting further information.

Need a whole day of classes? Check out our friends at  Squeaky Wheel, now located in the Tri-Main building, for their half day youth programs.

Cancellation policy:  A $50 cancellation fee will apply.  Cancellations made less than 3 days before start of class will not receive a refund.

Due to COVID-19, Big Orbit Project Space is temporarily closed to the public.
As of August 8, 2020, CEPA Gallery (including the FLUX Gallery, the darkroom, and the digital photo lab) has reopened with restrictions.

In order to continue to serve our members and the public while adhering to social distancing and other safety guidelines during these unprecedented times, all other activities are currently online only.

Hope Grunert

Featured CEPA Summer Art Program Student

Hope first took a summer program at CEPA when she was about 12 years old. A few years later, she enrolled in our Photography Works program. This past Fall, she had her first solo show at CEPA which nearly sold out, and was selected for a Fujifilm Creative Mentorship.  Already a great photographer and writer, she is currently attending New Paltz for photojournalism. This summer, she’s returning to CEPA to now teach her own Analog Photo summer youth class.

“CEPA is the reason I am the photographer I am. I have learned things that I will keep with me for the rest of my life and I have met people who have shaped the way I take a photo.”
