Photography Works is a yearlong program that will provide 10 students, ages 16-20, who have a serious interest in photography, with in depth instruction and mentoring in a variety of photo-related careers. Students will meet as a class but also meet one-to-one with a mentor. Students will visit working photographers in their studios or at on-site shoots and will assist in teaching youth classes at CEPA. Students will gain advanced camera, darkroom and digital skills with unlimited access to CEPA’s darkroom, computer lab and photo studio, as they explore related careers and interact with professionals. There is no fee for this program and upon completion, the students will get to keep the cameras provided. Students need to commit to meeting one day a week after school for the year (approximate time will be 4:00-6:30), but will also be expected to meet at different times with mentors on days that work for both student and mentor.
