See work by students from our Summer Darkroom and Photoshop Camps

This year we tried something a little different for our young photo enthusiasts. In the Darkroom Camp, students shot black and white film, learned to make traditional darkroom prints. In addition they used pinhole cameras to capture interesting scenes on Main Street. They experimented with double exposures (putting two negatives together), solarization (a process where a partially developed print is exposed to light) and cyanotypes, a process that produces beautiful blue prints on watercolor paper.

In the Photoshop Camp students learned various tools for collaging images, creating cover art, and animating objects. They gained a deeper understanding of selections, layers, masks, design elements, scanning, printing, and typography.
