BIO: Amy Meza Luraschi is an artist and educator from Buffalo, New York. She works primarily in photography and craft media. Luraschi has an extensive background in art education. Originally trained as an artist, she received her B.F.A. from the University at Buffalo and did graduate work at the University of Illinois. She received her M.A.T. in interdisciplinary art education from Columbia College in Chicago in 2005. Luraschi has worked as lead teaching artist for CEPA Gallery’s education program. She was the original teaching artist for Picturing Poetry, one of its signature Writing With Light programs. She has taught in various Buffalo and Chicago public schools, and served as adjunct faculty at Niagara University and the University at Buffalo. Her goal is to empower her students through the arts; to help them nurture a unique voice to express themselves. www.amezalu.com
