| RUINS IN REVERSE: Time and Progress in Contemporary Art explores the shifting critical and cultural boundaries of time, progress, and history on the eve of the millennium. The RUINS project presents artists who examine the legacy of modernism, historical change, and the compression of space and time in contemporary society.
RUINS IN REVERSE was presented in two parts. Part I ran from September 18 through December 18, 1998. Part II was open January 22 and through March 19, 1999. Four critical essays were commissioned for RUINS IN REVERSE:
