Bringing the War Home: House Beautiful, New Series (2004) combines news photos of the Iraq War with elegant landscapes and interiors from magazines, raising questions about the connections between advertising, journalism, politics, sexism, and violence. Rosler's montages re-connect two sides of human experience that have been falsely separated - distant wars and the living rooms of America.

Martha Rosler has been confronting conflict in her work since 1967. Bringing the War Home: House Beautiful, New Series is presented as part of Art of War at CEPA Gallery. Come see this project and many more from artists addressing global conflict through art.
