About the artist.

ADAL is a lunar Boricua returned from the future. He is Co-Director of El Puerto Rican Embassy and his books include The Evidence of Things not Seen (Da Capo Press) and Mango Mambo: Portraits of Salsa Legends (Institute of Puerto Rican Culture). His portfolio is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC), The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Musee Moderne de la Ville de Paris. His most recent performance, entitled Salsaleo: The Hybrid States of Salsa, was performed at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York, March 27-April 16, 2000.
