CUSTOM WORKSHOPS
Workshops can be tailored to specific needs. Groups of four or more should contact CEPA for additional information and group rates.
Tutoring
Individual instruction is available at $35/hr with a two-hour minimum per session.
College credit

Darkroom
The darkroom is set up for black & white film developing and archival printing with tray chemistry. Enlargers, carriers, and lenses for film formats between 35mm and 4x5 are available. The darkroom has a large sink with the capacity to make prints up to 20" x 24" and an excellent ventilation system.
Digital Lab
The digital lab currently has 6 iMacs, Adobe CS3 software, internet access, two Epson 1280's and one Epson 2200.

Salt-Printing Your Digital Photographs
Instructor: Sara McKenna [instructor bios]
Thursdays: March 15, 22, 29, and April 5 (Must register no later than March 8th) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm In this class, students will turn their own existing digital photographs into richly toned one of a kind salt prints. Students will learn how to make a digital negative, turn regular drawing paper into light sensitive photography paper and make and use their own functional printing frame. Some darkroom and Photoshop experience is helpful, but not required. No camera necessary. $200 member / $225 non-member
Digital Point and Shoot Photography
Instructor: Lauren Tent[instructor bios]
Wednesdays: February 8, 15, 22, 29, March 7 and 14 (three spots left) 6:30-8:30 This workshop will teach you the fundamentals of photography and how to get the most out of your digital point and shoot camera. Technical and creative aspects will be covered. You will be given the tools to accurately shoot, edit and print your photographs. $200 member / $225 non-member
Intermediate Digital SLR Photography

Fridays: February 10, 17, 24, March 2 from 10am to 1pm (one spot left) Now that you have mastered the basics of your digital SLR camera, continue exploring a variety of practical and creative topics with this investigative workshop where we will further cultivate your personal approach to image making. Discussions on lighting, color, subject matter and composition, combined with projects that consider various photographic possibilities, make this a worthwhile class whether you are looking to take photos for personal documentation or creative design. Prior enrollment in CEPA's Basic Digital SLR Photography workshop is not required, but students should be comfortable using their camera and familiar with basic photographic terms and concepts. $200 member / $225 non-member

PhotoShop for Digital Photographers
Instructor: Alison Slein[instructor bios]
Tuesdays: March 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (Must register by March 15) Students will learn to use the ten most important tools for photographers. Tools for resizing an image, adjusting density and color, retouching imperfections, the marquee tool, crop tool, magic wand, lasso tool, healing brush, clone stamp and the dodge and burn tool. Participants should bring images to work with and a Flash drive. Students will be using Apple computers and Adobe CS3 PhotoShop software. $200 member / $225 non-member
Open Darkroom
Instructor: Lauren Tent [instructor bios]
Mondays: 6:30pm to 8:30pm. (Must register by Friday before each Monday) If you would like to learn how to print black and white negatives or need a refresher in the darkroom, this is for you. You will have instruction and guidance in printing RC or Fiber Based paper using contrast filters, dodging, burning and other darkroom techniques for printing fine art prints. $35 member / $45 non-member
Tutoring
CEPA provides one-to-one tutoring and custom workshops in photography. Call to set up a workshop for three or more people or to set up a time for one-to-one tutoring.
Cancellation fee of $25 will be assessed if canceled less than 1 week ahead of class. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will not receive a refund. Sold out classes will accept a waiting list.
